Almost everything that starts off as fun on the Internet is inevitably turned into a money-making venture. And that’s not a bad thing. You might as well get your piece of the pie. Let’s talk blogging, for instance. You’ll be happy to know that there are five easy strategies that you can adopt to make money blogging.

One good strategy, and probably the most profitable, is called the “flagship method.” In this method, you develop just a few blogs and devote massive energy and effort toward making them extremely popular within their respective niches. The goal is a flagship blog with a large audience and high daily visitor counts.

Of course, the reason this method is not more popular is precisely because of the amount of effort required in it – in return for little to no immediate results. Building a truly profitable flagshop blog takes time.

Still, once the blog takes off, the monetary (and emotional) rewards are plenty. You will have created a true destination site on the Web, and it will have lots of options for bringing in money. One of the most significant monetization options is direct advertising sales.

Not everyone will want to try the flagship method of blogging. Only try this method if you know you have knowledge in a niche area, as well as the marketing skill and networking know-how to make it work.

A second good method to make money online via blogging: Pay-per-post. This method requires that you set up a lot more blogs than using the flagship method. That’s because you’re not focused so much on creating perfect sites that draw in huge amounts of traffic. On the contrary, large amounts of traffic are not needed. Instead, set up several sites, using either your own domain or Blogger or WordPress. Focus your attention on creating content and then building up your Google PageRanks and Alexa Ranks.

You also spend time submitting each blog to several pay-to-blog sites such as Blogitive, review Me, Blogsvertise, PayperPost, Sponsored Reviews, and Loudlaunch, and then begin writing sponsored posts. These posts are another way to sell products for the sponsors without looking like an obvious advertisement.

Of course, the main disadvantage to this method is that there is no passive income. You have to take lots of time to create a lot of sponsored posts to make money–otherwise there is no money to be made in this method.

A third method of generating money from your blogging is through a technique called automated blogging. Using this method, you simply set up a blog and then run itself. Specifically, you set it up so that it’s drawing content from RSS feeds, news sources and search engines. These should ideally pertain to a focused topic. The benefit here is that there’s little up-keep required by you after the site is set up. The downside is that there’s also very little income that is normally generated – normally just a few dollars a month.

Try one, two, or even all three of these methods. You probably won’t get rich blogging, but once you hit the right combination, you can enhance your income quite nicely.
